Lecturer in English Studies at the University of Oviedo. Her primary research focuses on contemporary Irish theatre, with a particular interest in the works of Marina Carr and her reinterpretations of classical female myths. She also explores unpublished Irish versions and adaptations of Federico García Lorca’s plays. Her most recent publications include the articles “The Concept of Myth in Irish Theatre: Unmasking the Classical Myth to Demystify Contemporary Identities” (CompLit. Journal of European Literature, Arts and Society, 2024), “‘Do not Destroy me before my Time’: Iphigenia’s Versions and Appropriations in Contemporary Irish Theatre” (Studi Irlandesi. A Journal of Irish Studies, 2023), “‘Walking the boundaries’: Lynne Parker’s unpublished version of Federico García Lorca’s La Casa de Bernarda Alba” (Studies in Theatre and Performance, 2023) and “Theatre That Speaks to its Moment: Melt (2017) by Shane Mac an Bhaird.” (Estudios Irlandeses, 2022). She is also the author of the book Mujer y Mito en el Teatro de Marina Carr: Creando Espacios de Transformación (Libros Pórtico, 2024). Currently, she serves as secretary of the journal Archivum and co-director of Raudem.
Profesora de Filología Inglesa en la Universidad de Oviedo. Su investigación principal se centra en el teatro irlandés contemporáneo, con especial interés en las obras de Marina Carr y sus reinterpretaciones de los mitos femeninos clásicos. También explora versiones y adaptaciones irlandesas inéditas de obras de Federico García Lorca.
